Guitar Tuner is a handy app for tuning your guitar by using only your mobile device's microphone. Upon opening the app, the app will be automatically set to "auto-tune," meaning all you need to do is pluck a string to begin tuning.

The on-screen dial will have a small orange region into which you should guide the needle as you tune your strings. Getting the needle as close as possible to the green marker will produce a nice, clear note.

As you hit strings, the tuner will be able to discern the notes being played, and the app can even keep up with rapid note selection and changes. The range of tuning spans from 30Hz to 4186Hz. This means you can also use Guitar Tuner with other instruments.
